Font problems with email attachments
Hi ?B?cGJ1Y2tsZXI=?=,
When I generate a Word document using numbering format for pargraphs and send it as an attachement to an email, many times when people open the document the pargraph numbers have changed to another font while the main body text is still the font I intended. Is there a fix for this? I'm not an expert in this area, but apparently neither is anyone else cruising the groups these last few days... Note that it always helps to mention the version of Word involved in a problem and, for email questions, the name of the product you're using. Based just on my knowledge of Word, I'd be inclined to suspect a STYLE conflict. 1. Are you familiar with Word styles? 2. Did you, by any chance, when configuring the numbering, change the font used for the numbers (rather than leaving it on "automatic")? 3. Is the recipient seeing the same font for either the number OR the text that you see on your machine? 4. What's the name of the font you're seeing on your machine 5. Look in Tools/Template and Addins: Is the little checkbox at the top, for automatically updating styles, activated in this document? Thanks Cindy, I will try your suggestions. Just FYI, I am using Word 2003
and Outlook 2003. Thanks again, pbuckler "Cindy M -WordMVP-" wrote: Hi ?B?cGJ1Y2tsZXI=?=, When I generate a Word document using numbering format for pargraphs and send it as an attachement to an email, many times when people open the document the pargraph numbers have changed to another font while the main body text is still the font I intended.
