Merge Causes Word to Freeze
This may be the wrong group, but I could not find another more suited. I
have one PC that Word stops responding when in the final stages of a merge. The user can do the merge on other PC's. I have completely reinstalled the OS and Office on the PC. I don't think it is hardware related as the PC does not freeze, just word. The OS is XP Pro and it is Office XP. Any suggestions will be welcomed. |

Merge Causes Word to Freeze
What is being used as the data source? It may be worth renaming the
normal.dot template to normal.old and then restart Word and try again. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
