Dear all

For some reason, when I create a document in Word (2003), if I highlight a
paragraph and change it to bold, underline etc. it automatically changes the
whole document? I have been using Word for some years and have never seen
this happen before.

Any ideas what could have gone wrong? This has only started happening
today, it has been fine up to now.

Thank you.

Thanks for this, Jay, worked a treat.

Just as a matter of interest, have you any idea what 'triggers' this
function to kick in? As I said earlier, I haven't changed any options in my
Styles, it has decided to do this on its own.

Thanks again.

It could be the result of pasting in text from another document or web
page, or it could be gremlins. ;-)
