Track Changes: Hiding Commenters' Names
Is there a way to hide the commenters' names in a track change document
without removing their changes for confidentiality purposes in Word 2003? |

Track Changes: Hiding Commenters' Names
Yes and no. You can remove all reviewer names by using the Removing Personal
Information on Save option but this isn't necessarily "hiding" them since it deletes the names from the file. So if you need to retain the original, make sure you use a copy of the file for this purpose. You can find the option under Tools/Options/Security. Track Changes: Hiding Commenters' Names
Not that I know of. A workaround is to make two versions of the
document (one with tracked changes intact, and the other with personal information removed on save or with comment authors' names modified with a macro), but it could be a pain in the keister to keep the versions synchronized if the document is frequently edited.
