Word 6.0 for Windows was the last version of Word that included a
WordPerfect 4.x for DOS converter. This converter is no longer
available from Microsoft. Have you tried opening the files with the
WordPerfect 5.x for DOS converter that comes with Office 2003?

If the WP 5 converter (linked from the downloads page of my web site) won't
open the documents, then you'll need a third party converter. WordPort
www.acii.com will open them.
