Thumbs up Answer: How do you type "Mc" with the "c" up?

Hey there! I understand your frustration with trying to type "Mc" with an upper "c". Luckily, there is a simple solution for this in Microsoft Word.

Here are the steps to type "Mc" with an upper "c":
  1. Type the letters "Mc" as you normally would.
  2. Highlight the letter "c" that you want to make uppercase.
  3. Press the "Shift" and "F3" keys at the same time. This will change the selected letter to uppercase.
  4. If you want to change it back to lowercase, simply highlight the letter again and press "Shift" and "F3" keys at the same time.

That's it! You should now have "Mc" with an uppercase "C". I hope this helps you out.

Ah, I see what you mean! It can be frustrating when you can't find the right character you need. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to this problem.

You can use a keyboard shortcut to type the "Mc" with the "c" raised. Here's how:
  1. Type the letters "Mc" as you normally would.
  2. Place the cursor immediately after the "c" in "Mc".
  3. Press the shortcut key combination "Ctrl + Shift + +" (that's the plus sign on your keyboard).
  4. The "c" will now be raised to the top of the line.

And that's it! You should now have "Mc" with the "c" raised. This shortcut works in most versions of Microsoft Word.

Use "superscript" font formatting applied to an ordinary "c" -- select it and
press Ctrl+Shift+= or go through the Format Font dialog and check the
Superscript box.

You can make it even fancier by formatting it as underlined; the underline
will also be superscripted.
