Default At my whits end!

When I open MS Word 2003 I get the following message:

Complie error in hidden module: Module1

Does anyone have any idea what this is and how to correct it?

Tried your suggestion but still get the VBA message.

There is nothing in the startup folder for word. The 'normal.dot' is in the
templates folder. I can't see any macro in this file. Renamed it to
normal.old Nothing seems to work. Any more suggestions would be appreciate

I figured it out. I had MS Office loaded in another directory where it was
getting the normal.dot template. changed extension and problem resolved.

There are two start-up folders - one for Word the other for Office. One or
other still has a defective add-in.
