Default Can you recover normal template without backup

After OCR'ing a document, the normal.dot changed and I have lost all my
formatting. Is there a way I can retreive that normal.dot if I do not have a
back up. I will need create a new normal.dot but in the process I will lose
my auto text, macros, toolbars etc...

Are you saying that when you create a new Blank Document, your settings have
not been saved?
