Open the normal.dot template, and make the change there and then save and
close it. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "bettywhitt" wrote in message ... In addition to the suggestions offered by Doug and Anne, it is usually
helpful to set A4 as the default paper size in the printer Properties. -- Suzanne S. Thanks Doug, I know I'm going to sound simple - but where do I find this
template? I did a search and came up with nothing. Thanks for your advice. It is not necessary to open Normal.dot to make this change; just make the
change in Page Setup and press Default.... (which I suspect is what you've already done). See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...alTemplate.htm But also see my suggestion about changing the paper size selected in the printer Properties. -- Suzanne S. Hi, Betty. I hope you've got your issue resolved by now, but wanted to point
you to my article on normal.dot. If you're a regular Word user, you'll want to learn about it as much as possible. http://www.officearticles.com/word/a...osoft_word.htm ************ Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "bettywhitt" wrote in message ... And if the Windows regional settings were set to a region that uses A4 paper
by default - eg the UK - then the problem shouldn't arise in the first place. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Suzanne S. It is located in a folder that is probaby hidden. The usual location is
c:\documents and settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. You can check for the location in Word by selecting Options from the Tools menu and then selecting the File Locations tab. To see hidden folders in Windows Explorer, select Folder options from the Tools menu in that application. -- Hope this helps.
