Drag and drop text editing does not work
Using Word03 w/ XPPro SP2. For some reason, my drag and drop feature suddenly
stopped working. Tried disabling and re-enabling in Tools-Options-Edit tab but it didn't correct the problem. Can anyone help? Thx in advance! |

What are you trying to drag and drop? Where are you trying to drop it?

Drag and drop text editing does not work

Thanks for your reply. Just trying to drag and drop text and actually, a restart got it working again. I had tried that once but came across a suggestion that said to run the following commands: regsvr32 ole32.dll & regsvr32 /i shell32.dll. These didn't work so I restarted again and drag and drop started working. :-\ Not sure what got it going but it's now working. thought I'd try it a second time and it worked. "Suzanne S. Amazing how many problems a restart/reboot will solve!

Drag and drop text editing does not work
Drag 'n' Drop doesn't work when certain panels are open, such as Cross
Reference. Maybe you had one of those open at the time. (When you do, you get a crossed-circle icon over the cursor when you try to drag stuff.) Drag and drop text editing does not work
Hi Grammatim, A restart solved my issue but I wanted to clarify that I didn't
have any cross panels open and did not notice the crossed-circle icon. Thanks for your suggestion, though.
