Missing icons and Adobe Acrobat
Hello,
is anyone familiar with this and if so what can be done about it? In a network environment (no problem stand-alone) with Adobe Acrobat installed (with PDFMaker.dot in the office startupfolder ) Acrobat's ReviewingToolbar macro is reponsible for overwriting the customized icons and functions, embedded in some extra templates. Apparently after loading the templates the PDFMaker.dot macro restores te toolbars and funtions to their original (normal.dot) state and letting our own template toolbar and function additions dissapear. The macro's are still there, but can only be started through the macro menu. |

Yes, I've met this problem. Acrobat resets the menu when the PDFMaker add-in
loads. In my case the problem related to menu options added by another add-in: I was able to fix it by renaming the other add-in so it loaded after PDFMaker. It seems that add-ins are loaded in reverse alphabetical order, but that might just be an artefact of my machine. I tried posting a question about it on the Adobe website forum, but I got nothing remotely resembling a useful response. Just comiserations from others who had suffered the same problem. Add-ins do load in reverse alphabetical order and re-naming is a ploy that
can work - you could also delay the loading, or even choose when to load - the various techniques are covered at http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Jezebel wrote: Yes, I've met this problem.
