what does the "degree" sign mean in format doc?
Word has put a "degree" sign in front of the hard return after each
paragraph. This is causing more spaces than needed after each paragraph. Help |

It's a non-breaking space. You can copy one of them, then hit Ctrl+H, paste
it into the Find What box. Don't put anything in the Replace with box, and hit Replace all. That deletes them all. ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com www.MyExpertsOnline.com "Judee" wrote in message ... That would keep the non-breaking spaces and delete all real spaces (at =
least in Word2003). Use ^s in "Find what", and replace with spaces. If you don't remember the "^s" placeholder, look under "Special" in the = Find dialog: Non-breaking spaces should be listed there among other = special characters.
