Modify the paragraph formatting of the styles that you use in the body to have 0.5" left and right indents. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

As an alternative to my previous reply (and less work), leave the body styles as they are. Change the page margins (in the File Page Setup dialog) to 1", and set _negative_ paragraph indents (-0.5") in the header and footer. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Thank you very much - this makes sense. I am a regular WP user, and adjusting
to Word can sometimes be very puzzling! "Jay Freedman" wrote: J. Blair wrote: I have a letterhead in Word that has 1/2" left and right margins.
