Header and footer "Insert auto text" drop down is empty
In the header and footer toolbar, the "Insert auto text" drop down doesn't
have the usual auto text fields. What can be done? Some solution that wouldn't require changing the Normal.dot with the would be better, since an admin account will be required for that (won't it?). |

In order to use Word properly you should have read/write access to the
normal template. Renaming the normal template to normal.old will restore the default autotext entries and you can use the organizer to copy any others you have created from old to new. Or you could recreate the autotext entries you need whilst in the header/footer view. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Palas wrote: In the header and footer toolbar, the "Insert auto text" drop down doesn't have the usual auto text fields.
