Default how to put a list of names into alphabetical order in a Word docu

I have a long list of names that I want to put into alphabetical order
without having to key them in -- in that order.
I am using Word 2003.

Default how to put a list of names into alphabetical order in a Word docu

Select the list with your cursor that you wish to sort (highlight)
On toolbar menu select TABLE
select SORT
OK
The default setting is PARAGRAPH text ASCENDING which will put it into alpha
order for a list.
