Changing paper sizes causes error.
I am using Word 2003 with XP professional, 2002, SP2. The printer is a Kyocera
KM-1815. When printing an Avery label, #5202, which is a 4" X 6" page with seven 3 7/16" X 11/16" labels, everything is ok. If I then start or load a different document with a full size sheet of 8 1/2" X 11" paper, the print preview proportions are not correct. The 4" X 6" format is not reset back to an 8 1/2" X 11" paper size. When you go to page setup, it does say 8 1/2" X 11" but when you try to print it, you get an error message: "The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?" If you answer yes, it then resets the margins back to 4" X 6". One way to correct this problem is to close Word including Outlook and restart both programs. Is there a better way to fix this problem? Please note that the problem only happens if the actual 4" X 6" page was initially printed. Thanks for your reply. |
