Three-page table, different number of columns
I am making an index for a book. I want the first two pages of the index to
have four columns but the last to have just three. Is there a way to do this without affecting the whole table? Thank you. |

Three-page table, different number of columns
I don't think there's any way to accomplish this. If Word runs out of index
contents at the end of three columns on the last page, there will be just three columns of text and one empty one (provided the index doesn't end in a Continuous break), but it won't be possible to change the number of columns without inserting a section break in the index, which you wouldn't be able to do (permanently) without unlinking the index. -- Suzanne S.
