Is there a default # of Word documents that you can have opened at one time?
I have a user that keeps freezing when she opened more than one document. It
is to the
point that 3 documents is too many to have open at one time.

The only limit is the resources available on your computer and, of course,
the size and complexity of the documents. If each document is just text and
only a few pages long, you could have dozens open - maybe a hundred open.
I've never tried to max out.

However, there is a maximum that you can OPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY (by multiple
selection). The combined docname and paths may not exceed 255 characters.
