Default stop Word 2003 from saving print settings

How do I stop Word 2003 from saving print settings? In Word 2000, if I
printed 3 copies of a document, closed the document, and reopened it, the
number of copies setting went back to 1. In Word 2003, the number of copies
is saved. If I just click the print button, I will receive 3 copies even if
I want only 1.

Default

No version of Word does this by default. If your copy of Word is doing it,
then either something is changing in the printer Properties or you have a
FilePrintDefault macro running that is changing the settings.
