Is it possible to open MS Word merge from Access form????
Approached this subject before but I'm getting desperate for solution
I am trying to open Word merge by clicking on Access form - which leads to circular error MS Word issues warning "Opening this document with run the following SQL command", the warning pops up under the access modal form - the form wont budge until the merge has ended, i cant click the warning because it's underneath the form I can't hack company registry to get rid of the warning Any ideas how you might call mail merge from an Access form? I've even considered creating the letter as Access report instead but 3rd party users wont be able to edit it and it's obvious not as neat as Word letter |

You could use a "roll-your-own" equivalent to mail merge that instead of
using a mail merge main document with merge fields in it, used a template that contained Docvariable fields and then have your Access code create a new Word document from that template for each record in your Access table/query and then set the values of the variables in that document to the data in the record, update the fields in the document, then save or print it before going on to the next record and repeating the process. -- Hope this helps, Doug Robbins - Word MVP dkr[atsymbol]mvps[dot]org "Chris K" wrote in message news:IT5co.38980$qQ6.4476@hurricane... Even without a RTF control it can look pretty good. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259971 however may answer your questions. |

At the moment I've pasted text into label and inserted a picture using image contol |
