I get field code instead of result: I cleared on options/print
Without warning, I am suddenly getting field codes instead of results, e.g.,
page numbers in footer appear as {PAGE-MERGE}. Help in Word advised Tool\Options\Print and uncheck "fields" but "fields" was NOT checked. I tried checking and then unchecking "fields" as well as exiting and reentering Word and rebooting and nothing helps. |

If you're seeing the field codes on the display rather than when you print,
either press Alt+F9 or clear the check box for "Field codes" on the *View* tab of Tools | Options. -- Suzanne S.
