No, Word is not (legally) available for download anywhere. If you need more
Office apps than just Word and are a student, you may find that Office Standard for Students and Teachers is your best bet. Otherwise, get Works Suite 2005, which includes Word 2002 and several other useful programs (see http://www.microsoft.com/products/wo...s.aspx?pid=001). Given current street prices and the $20 mail-in rebate in effect, you can acquire it for well under $75. -- Suzanne S. You can buy it. You can download a trial version that will expire soon but
are probably better off purchasing either Works Suite or Office for Students and Teachers (if you qualify). -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
