Default How do I move more than one file to a different folder?

I have a folder that has files in it that I want to move to another folder.
I can do it one file at a time, but I have a lot that I have to move (I am
dividing the original folder into subfolders) and I was wondering if there
was anyway to move a group of files to another folder? I tried to highlight
them & then move them, didn't work... Thanks in advance for any help!

Open Windows Explorer
Select the files to be moved. While holding the shift key down, drag the
files to the destination folder. If it doesn't work, check to make shure you
have the correct priveleges. Sometimes, users cannot move or delete files in
Shared folders unless they have Admin rights.

Hi Doug -
I am not sure where the Windows Explorer is - I should have been more
specific, I am in the typical Word screen - what I have been doing is opening
the documents and then saving them to the right folder with different names,
then I go back and delete the original. UGH! Your solution sounds like it
might work perfectly, but when I tried it from the Word screen, it didn't
work, so I must be in the wrong place. I do have admin rights, it is my own
personal PC. Thank you so much for your help - I am sure once I find out
where I should go, I'll be fine.

If you press Winkey+E (where Winkey is the Windows key found to the left or
right of the Alt button to the left or right of your spacebar, the one with
the Windows logo on it), you will open Windows Explorer. You can also access
it by right-clicking My Computer or the Start menu and choosing Explore.
