Building table of contents from Text in Header Section
I am using Word 2003
What I need to do is to build a table of contents from Text that appears in the Header section of a document. I have tried everything but cannot get this to work. Can anybody help? |

What you are trying to do is not possible. Text in headers (and
footers) can not be included in a table of contents. Even if it was possible, Word wouldn't know what page number to assign to it, since headers are not limited to a single page. Place the heading in the main body of the document instead. However, you can repeat the current heading in the header; just insert a STYLEREF field.
