Cross reference to custom caption type
Situation:
I'm using Word 2000. I made a new custom caption type. On my machine I am able to cross reference it, it is in the reference type list. Problem: When on an other machine with Word 2000, the custom reference type does not show in the list. So then I am not able to create a cross reference. I thought Word should store this information in normal.dot, but an experiment proved it doesn't. Question: Can someone tell me where Word stores the custom caption types? And how can I make sure other users can use them in the same documents? |

My understanding is that the caption types *are* stored in Normal.dot, and
that of course is the problem when moving from machine to machine (logically, they should be stored in the document and travel with it, but they aren't). I think they may be stored in the Registry, which is even worse news.
