Default Dictionary - changing the language

I have word 2000 and I desperately need to be able to change the language on
my laptop, as I study French and Spanish and would really like to be able to
change the language so that I can spell check etc my work. Any ideas? Thank
you

Default Dictionary - changing the language

You can apply a language to the selected text (via Tools | Language | Set
Language), or you can create a template and then set its default language to
French (in the same dialog box).

Also verify that the languages you want to spell check are in fact
installed; if they are, they appear with check marks in the Set Language
dialog box.
