Default Problem with file opened via Word

I have a data file that when I try to open it from Word, a file conversion
pop-up appears asking me to choose wich coding Iwant to
use(UTF8,Latin,etc..).

If I remove all lines but the first two, save, then, it opens fine.

Now, if I remove the first of the two remaining lines save and reopen it the
popup reappears... Magic!!!!!

Can somebody make sense out of this?

P.S. If you give me an email address, I can send you the file so you can see
for yourself.

Thanks.

This general issue pops up from time to time. I don't think there is a
proven solution, but I would have a look at the following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817140

The information about setting up the DefaultCPG item may be relevant even if
you are not using Word 2000, but you will need to use the correct
office/word version number in the names of the registry keys.
