Default how to save a word document

when i try to save a word document on CD-RW, or attach the doccument to an
e-mail there is a message that appears that says "incorrect function" and
that i must seek permission from the administrator to save the document even
though i am the original owner of the office 2003 and original author of the
document. but i am able to save the word document on the desktop or in "My
Documents" or anywhere else within the computer. i did not install any
programs to restrict access or restrict file sharing. Can anybody tell me
what's happening and what should i do to save my file on CD_RW or attach it
to an e-mail?

A. You're not in the correct group here.

B. As a general rule, Word doesn't work with CDs etc. because it wants to
create its temporary files in the same folder that you save your .doc in,
and despite the fact that you're using a writable device, Word may well not
treat a CD-RW as a ?real/ writable device. But that's just a guess on my
part.

C. If you're having trouble doing things directly from Word, save the file
to a normal folder on a hard drive, then using Windows to copy the .doc to
the CD-RW. or use your e-mail client to insert the .doc as an attachment.

If you want to be able to use your documents, when working within Word, act
as if your removable media drives do not exist! (This applies to floppy
drives, CDRW/CDR, flash drives or DVDR drives as well as any other kind of
removable media drives.)
Don't use Word to:
Open a document on removable media
Print a document on a removable media
Edit a document on a removable media
Save a document to a removable media (not even a copy)

Word regularly trashes documents on removable media drives!

Instead, work on the document using your hard drive. Copy it back and forth
using Windows.

I know that for some with shared computers (libraries, schools) this is a
tough prescription. All I can recommend for that is to use a brand new
formatted disk each time you save and don't do any editing.
