I have a rather silly question. I just started using the new Word 2007 and
when I try to type an address or any other paragraph where I use the Enter
key to go to the next line, it always double-spaces. It will wrap what I'm
typing in single space, but once I use the Enter key it always double spaces.
Very annoying when I'm trying to type addresses where I want it
single-spaced. How can I change this setting? Thank you

The easiest solution is to press Shift+Enter (hard line break) at the end of
each line of the address. Another solution would be to select the address
lines, right-click, and choose Paragraph, and set the After spacing to 0,
instead of the default 10. If you never want the extra spacing, then press
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S. Click the Manage Styles button near the bottom of the
Style pane. In Manage Styles, click the Set Defaults tab, and remove set the
After spacing (and other settings) as you prefer.

Another solution would be to use the No Spacing style when you don't want
the extra paragraph spacing, and to use the Normal style when you do. There
are myriad other approaches, too... which one you choose should be
determined by how you work and what best suits you.
