I am trying to create a document in word for a company and wish for the logo
to become uneditable. Is there a way to lock this image?

Default lock image in word

Hi ?B?dHVmZmd1cmxs?=,

I am trying to create a document in word for a company and wish for the logo
to become uneditable. Is there a way to lock this image?

No, unless you're willing / allowed to use document protection.
- Position the logo and make sure the anchor is in a paragraph at the top
(or in the header footer)
- Insert a continuous section break after this paragraph (or at the top of
the document)
- Tools/Protect, choose to protect as a form, click the option for Sections
and make sure the box for the second section is NOT checked

The user should be able to work relatively freely in this second section, but
certain things will simply not be possible in a document protected in this
manner. For example, the header/footer and most of the Drawing tools will be
locked out.

If this is Word 2003, you can also use the new "read only" type of protection
but here, again, not all of Word's commands will be available.
