Default Comments for viewing only not for printing.

Is there any way to create comments in MSWord 2000 or XP that are displayed
in the document, but are not displayed on printed document? Also, can it be
done without users going to Menus to set that when they wont to print it.
(User just clicks on Print and document prints without comments.)
Thanks

Hi ?B?T2xlZ29z?=,

I'd have thought Word 2000 would print without comments... Word 2002 and 2003
do print "markup" by default if it's being displayed in the document.

I can think of two possiblities

1. Use "hidden text" instead of comments.

2. Use a macro for the "print" command that explicitly tells Word to print
without markup. In the document, substitute your macro for the FilePrint and
FilePrintDefault commands.
