Mail Merge - 12:00:00 AM where expecting data
Hi
I'm mail merging from Excel into a Word template and find that some of the fields are showing up in Word as 12:00:00 AM. This has happened to me before and I put a test row in with cells of 256 characters in each cell which overcame this. Now on a new data sheet it doesn't. I notice on my Excel that the cells that don't work have no format - ie. in format cells they are under General formatting but the sample shows as #########. And I cannot get the sample to view this as text.... Help...... |

From the Tools menu in Word, select Options and then go to the General tab
and check the box against the "Confirm conversions at open" item. Then when you attach the data source to the main document, select DDE as the method by which you want the connection to be made. -- Hope this helps.
