Anyway to selectively delete the seperator line? Yes. The first line is the Endnote Separator, the second longer line is the Endnote Continuation Separator, and they are different. Switch into Normal View and go to View | Footnotes. A footnote pane will open up at the bottom. Use the dropdown menu at the top of the pane to access the separators and delete as desired.
