Default Jumbled Words

When I recieve a Word Document that has been faxed to my email in Outlook, I
try to open up the document but everything is jumbled together. Does anyone
have any suggestions??

Faxed? If this is a fax message Word probably does not have a converter to
handle the format. If on the other hand it is an e-mailed document
attachment, it may have become corrupted in the transmission (have it sent
again in zipped format) or
According to contributor Bob Buckland: "There's a bug that somehow seems to
have Word misreading temporary files related to the printer currently in
use. You can usually 'unscramble' the display from File=Print and switch
to the printer properties or to another printer then your normal one, or
close Word and delete all files found on Start=Search and looking for
~$*.*;*.tmp as the name string then restarting Word." See also
