Default how to make tilde (~)over letter n, also how to make accent marks.

I am trying to find information on the above , as I am learning Spanish and
need these marks for puncuation

On my system, control+shift+tilde then immediately type the
letter that you want the tilde over. (In your case n.) In
unicode this is character 00F1.

However if you want Word to proofread (spell-check) the
documents that you write in Spanish properly, a better way
would be to install a Spanish keyboard, switch to that, and
use whatever key(s) it wants to produce a ñ.

Ctrl-~ (Ctrl-Shift-`) then n.

And do follow Suzanne's link because there are more ways out there that you
