Why does an equal sign in Equation Editor look like a T?
When I type the equal sign in equation editor it looks like a T with a little
thing on it. A minus sign turns into an up and down arrow. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks. |

In the Equation Editor, go to the Style menu and click Define. In the
dialog, make sure all the dropdowns are set to Times New Roman (or a similar "ordinary" font) except that the L.C. Greek, U.C. Greek, and Symbol items are set to Symbol font. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. Why does an equal sign in Equation Editor look like a T?
Somehow the Symbol font was corrupted on my computer so the L.C. Greek and
U.C. Greek were set to Bookshelf Sym 7. I downloaded a new symbol font file and replaced the existing file. Thanks for the help.
