How do I suppress the tabs that appear wtih Bullets and Numbers?
When you use the Bullets or Numbering icons on the Formatting Toolbar (or use
Bullets and Numbering from the Format Menu), a hanging indent is inserted on the Ruler as well as a tab character. i want to prevent the tab character from appearing. Thanks. |

How do I suppress the tabs that appear wtih Bullets and Numbers?
In the Format | Bullets and Numbering dialog, you have options as to the
character that follows the bullet (including "nothing") only if you create the bulleted style on the Outline Numbering tab (click More to expand the dialog); this option is not available for simple numbered and bulleted lists. -- Suzanne S. From the Tools Menu, Select Options; click on the Compatibility Tab and check off "Don't add automatic tab stop for hanging indent." Will that do the trick? Thanks, Joseph "Suzanne S. No, that just suppresses the tab stop, not the tab character.
