Default Page x of y not printing properly

I have 3 pages resume, inserted footer for page x of y. I can see 1 of 3, 2
of 3, 3 of 3 in print preview but when I print I see 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 3 of 3.
Why?
Under Tools/ Options / Print .. I have check mark in box Update fields.

Weird thing is when I created a new document, and inserted x of y , it
worked on the printed copies, but not in my resume document I am working on.
Also tried to copy this document on to new page, didn't work.
