It's not supposed to. Perhaps if you can describe what is happening

I do not get any error messages, the program just freezes for 10 to 30
seconds and then returns to normal. I have changed the default auto recovery to 30 minutes hoping to follow the trend. Will take a while for me to observe if this is the problem. I will also try again to see if disabeling the autorecovery feature has any effect. It seemed to the first time I tried it and that is why I wrote the question.
