How do I stop Word turning my date format round automatically?
When I type a date, e.g. 19th August 2009, and press Enter, Word
automatically changes the format to 2009-08-19. How can I remove this option? |

If you just ignore the suggestion no changes will be made.
To turn off the AutoComplete suggestions, you can use a macro (in Word 2007 you *must* use a macro): Press Alt+F11 to display the Visual Basic Editor. Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window. Type Application.DisplayAutoCompleteTips = False and press Enter. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "mazzer" wrote in message ... A few options additional to Stefan's reply;
If you don't use the ordinal (th) the "change" won't occur -- the complete string will be recognized as a valid date, or Key Ctrl+Z to Undo when it happens, or Press the Spacebar before pressing Enter. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones Office:Mac MVP "mazzer" wrote in message ...
