Default How do I show striked trhough for deleted text in Word 2002?

I followed the instructions to remove the balloons for deleted text but
deleted text still won't be strike-thru; instead it's shown in a color.

Run a macro containing the following code

Options.DeletedTextMark = wdDeletedTextMarkStrikeThrough

For some unknown reason, that get deleted from the user interface in Word
XP. It was reinstated in Word 2003.
