Default Insert PowerPoint as Object, image error when change wrapping opti

Using Office 2003, I inserted a presentation using the Create From File tab
of the Insert Object dialog box. I didn't choose the Link check box. The PPT
inserts fine and the first slide, consisting of 2 text boxes and 3 clip art
images, looks perfect. Then I changed the wrapping options. Any changes made
on the Layout tab of the FOrmat Object dialog boxes causes the 1 clip art
image to display with a white fill and 1/2 of the clip art to be entirely
grey. I tried saving the grouped clip arts as an emf and then inserting them,
but that caused one peice of the original clip art to disappear (except for
the border around it). If I insert the presentation and choose the link check
box, it's fine OR if I do that, change the wrap, then convert to an object,
it's fine. Any ideas?

It sounds as if Word is having trouble interpreting something on this slide, and
since you're inserting it as an object, it's trying to resolve this using the
OLE bits that Word stores within a document when you embed a presentation.

Do you really want to embed the entire presentation, or do you want to show just
the first slide (like a graphic)?
