Answer: How do I change the "printable area"?
To change the printable area in Microsoft Word:
- Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
- Click on the "Margins" button.
- Select "Custom Margins" at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
- In the "Page Setup" dialog box that appears, you'll see a section labeled "Margins." Adjust the values for the top, bottom, left, and right margins until your border fits within the printable area.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
If you're still having trouble getting your border to fit within the printable area, you may need to adjust the size of your document:
- Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
- Click on the "Size" button.
- Select "More Paper Sizes" at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
- In the "Page Setup" dialog box that appears, you'll see a section labeled "Paper." Adjust the values for the width and height until your border fits within the printable area.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
