Default "draft only text", or something like it?

Is there anything in word that would allow me to type some comments here and
there [but not actual Word Comments], regular lines of text in the document,
except that when I'm ready to say that the document is ready, the text I've
indicated as "draft", or whatever it might be called, would be removed?

Have you tried Insert | Comment?

One option - You can format the "comment" text as Hidden (use a Style to
make it easier to apply). It should be easy enough to remove using Find &
Replace - even easier using the Styles & Formatting Task PaneSelect All
-press Delete (may have to repeat).

Another thought - Use Text Boxes or other AutoShapes to contain the text.
There's a little-known command in the Drawing category - Select Multiple
Objects - which you can add to a toolbar to select then delete them.

Probably other ideas will come.

Thank you for the reply.

However, I probably wasn't clear enough, but the actual 'comment' is
something that won't help me in this situation, and so I noted in what I was
looking for:

"[but not actual Word Comments]"

I appreciate your reply, though. I think I will try Cybertaz's options he
gave and see whether that works out or not.

Thank you both!
