word 2003
I want to upgrade to word 2003, but I am not sure if word 2003 is compatible
to word 2000? I mean, the same document may need be used between both word 2000 and 2003, edit, save, ... but may not use those new functions only found in word 2003. |

They are compatible. The file structures for Word 97 and later are
identical. Make sure you get the latest service packs, though. Yes, if you use features not found in Word 2000 you may end up with documents that don't work well in Word 2000. I have all of mine set to save in Word 97 limitations and avoid putting things in my document that don't work in Word 97. I still get the advantage? of the Task Panes and other changes in the later version. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
