Word Forms and WOrd 2007
I have a Word 2003 form with mostly checkboxs and Word 2007 I cannot unlock
them. I unlocked them with 2003 and converted to 2007. I can put the checkboxs in with legacy controls but again no way to lock them. Am I missing something? Thank you, Eric Vogel |

Thank you, Eric Vogel On the Developer tab, near the right end, the Protect Document button opens the task pane. That's the hard way. (If you don't see the Developer tab, go to Office button Word Options and turn it on.) In the Word Options Customize dialog, select Commands Not In the Ribbon and add the Protect Document item from that list to the QAT. Clicking that button (whose icon is unfortunately an anonymous green circle) brings up a much smaller dialog where you can just double-click the Forms item to turn on Forms protection. It's only a little more cumbersome than the old lock item instead of a lot more cumbersome. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
