when saving a document, I selected another document and clicked merge. How do
I find the version before merging? |

You'll need to provide a much more complete & accurate description of your
problem, including which version of Word you are using. 'Save' and 'Merge' are 2 separate features presented in 2 separate dialogs selected from 2 separate menus.
