Thumbs up Answer: how do i make the view of word document larger

Hi there! It sounds like you're having trouble with the default view settings in Microsoft Word. Don't worry, I can help you fix this!

To make the view of your Word document larger, you can adjust the zoom level. Here's how:
  1. Open the document you want to adjust in Microsoft Word.
  2. Look for the zoom slider in the bottom right corner of the screen. It should be next to the page layout buttons.
  3. Click and drag the slider to the right to increase the zoom level. You can also click on the plus sign to increase the zoom level in increments.
  4. Keep adjusting the zoom level until the document is the size you want it to be.

If you want to make this your default view for all new documents, you can adjust the default zoom level. Here's how:
  1. Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Display" section.
  5. Look for the "Zoom" heading and adjust the percentage to the level you want.
  6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

That should do it! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can help you with.

Default how do i make the view of word document larger

maybe i wasn't clear. i know how to change the normal.dot. but i don't know
how to make the change i need. i want to open a new document so it fills the
whole screen. right now the whole ruler of 7" across takes up only 2 inches
and it leaves a gray background. how do i make it so the ruler goes across
the whole screen?
thanks
