Looks like you need to reset the NG; I'm seeing plenty of new messages.

Same here. Sometimes one of the subsidiary servers doesn't sync properly to the master, and what you get in your newsreader depends on which subsidiary server your computer happens to connect to that time around. My bad. If I Show All Messages (I usually hide the read ones) and ungroup
