Default Page break display in Word 2003 View Print mode changed. How come.

Editing a document in Word 2003, View=Print Layout, viewsize=75%, the page
break display suddenly changed: was space between pages, display full pages,
even when not completely filled, vertical ruler at left side. Now, I get a
view where pages are separated by a black line and partially filled pages are
displayed as short pages. Copying the content to a new doc didn't help. Other
saved doc's still have their old display format. What happened and how can I
correct this?

From the Tools menu, select Options and then go the the View tab and check
the White space between pages in the Print and weblayout section of the
dialog.
